Unit 4 - Lesson Guidebook

STUDENT GUIDEBOOK: The 8-Bit Logic Lab

UNIT 4: MEASUREMENT & DATA

STATUS: [READY FOR INPUT]

INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Ada, Lead Scientist 👩‍🔬

📂 INTRODUCTION: The Storage Facility

Welcome back, Junior Scientist!

We have successfully mastered the digital world:

  • Unit 1: The Code (Numbers).

  • Unit 2: The Processor (Calculations).

  • Unit 3: The Matrix (Fractions).

Now, we must leave the computer screen and enter the Physical Warehouse.

In the real world, things take up space. We have liquids (potions), cables (length), and heavy boxes (mass).

To manage the Logic Lab's inventory, we need to measure everything.

The Three Dimensions of Data:

  1. 1D Data (Length): A line. How long is a cable?

  2. 2D Data (Area): A flat shape. How much carpet do we need?

  3. 3D Data (Volume): A solid object. How much stuff fits
