Assessment Guide: Exhibition (Current Guide, to 2026)

Note on guide transition. This guide covers the current IB Visual Arts guide (first assessment 2016; last exams November 2026), for which the Exhibition is the internally assessed component. Importantly, the new guide (first teaching 2025, first assessment 2027) removes the Exhibition and replaces the internal component with Resolved Artworks. If you are assessed in 2027 or later, this Exhibition guide does not apply — follow the new guide and your teacher's guidance. A brief note on the change appears at the end.

Note on marks. Grade boundaries are set per session, so any band descriptions here are approximate and unofficial, offered only to explain how banding works.
