Important. These prompts are original practice titles written by IQ Hall Academy for study and rehearsal only. They are not official IB prescribed titles and must never be submitted as such. The IB releases six official prescribed titles per session; always write your real essay on an official title for your session. Use these to practice the approach: unpacking a title, finding knowledge questions, choosing areas of knowledge, and building a claim-and-counterclaim argument.
Each essay is written on one title, in the title's exact wording, in a maximum of 1,600 words, marked holistically out of 10. A strong practice essay usually explores the title through two areas of knowledge (AOKs) with specific real-world examples.
